Advance your Veterinary Nursing career at the forefront of animal care within our client’s Small Animal Hospital in Glasgow, a dynamic and comprehensive facility seeking a passionate Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to enhance its multidisciplinary team. The selected nurse will thrive in a varied role, engaging with a range of rotations that span surgical, medical, and feline wards, a theatre complex inclusive of anaesthesia, oncology, and an intensive care unit. Additionally, the role involves collaboration with well-regarded and experienced clinicians and nurses across specialities such as Surgery, Neurology, and Internal Medicine.
Candidates who are keen to explore the multifaceted nature of hospital nursing will find this role particularly rewarding. The ideal individual will be passionate, driven and eager to apply their clinical expertise in a setting that values and encourages professional growth. While previous referral nursing experience is an asset, it is not a prerequisite. The hospital is committed to providing comprehensive training to ensure the successful candidate is well-equipped to meet the demands of this diverse and fulfilling role.
Essential Skills and Experience:
• Current registration as a Veterinary Nurse
• Demonstrable experience in veterinary nursing
• A proactive approach to patient care
• Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork
• Adaptability and enthusiasm to work within various departments.
Benefits:
• Annual salary of £25,000 - £29,500 (Plus 6% shift allowance for weekend working)
• Participation on the Bank Holiday rota is required, however additional payment is given
• 35-hour flexible working week
• 41 days annual leave (including public holidays)
