Veterinary Hospital Manager
My client is in search of a highly experienced manager to lead their expansive clinical and administrative team of their large veterinary hospital.
The salary for this role ranges from £55,000 to £65,000, depending on your experience. Additionally, the benefits package is designed to support your well-being and professional growth. Enjoy 6.6 weeks of annual leave, including bank holidays, private medical insurance, paid lunch breaks, and a medical cashback plan that covers routine medical costs like dental care, physiotherapy, optician fees, and more. Professional membership fees are also covered where applicable.
This full-time, on-site position runs from Monday to Friday, with occasional on-call management duties during weekends to handle urgent phone queries. Rest assured, you won’t need to attend the hospital for these on-call responsibilities.
You will collaborate closely with the long established head vet and senior colleagues including head nurses and deputies. The team comprises approximately 24 vets, 30 RVNs, 14 SVNs, 7 VCAs, and a robust front-of-house team dedicated to delivering exceptional client care.
The role demands strong leadership skills, a passion for the veterinary industry, and excellent communication abilities to navigate the dynamic and complex environment of a large veterinary hospital. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in veterinary leadership, managing large multidisciplinary teams, and handling a variety of responsibilities.
Key responsibilities include fostering a collaborative and respectful team atmosphere, playing a crucial role in the hospital’s operational and financial success, managing stock control, rotas, holiday and absence schedules, overseeing the reception team to ensure exceptional client service, and supporting recruitment efforts in collaboration with HR. The ability to multi-task and solve problems swiftly is essential.
Located in the North East of London, with quick and direct transport links to all areas of London, this is an ideal location for both work and leisure.
