This long established hospital, has grown into a centre of excellence. The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with advanced medical technologies, including a CT scanner, rigid and flexible endoscopes, and ultrasound machines. They provide a wide array of services, such as neurosurgery, orthopaedics, minimally invasive surgery, stem cell therapy, and chemotherapy, alongside their first-opinion practice. Their dedication to exceptional service is underscored by their four outstanding RCVS awards.
The team is composed of 14 Veterinary Surgeons, 24 Registered Veterinary Nurses (RVNs), 3 Student Veterinary Nurses (SVNs), 5 Animal Care Assistants (ACAs), and a proficient non-clinical support team. They are united by a passion for delivering the highest standards of care, managing both general and referral cases within the same hospital to ensure seamless, end-to-end patient care.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to fully utilise your nursing skills. Responsibilities include admitting patients, monitoring anaesthetics, recovering, and discharging patients. You will assist with advanced neurology cases, CT scans, and endoscopy surgeries. Support is provided by ACAs, a dedicated pharmacy team, and SVNs, ensuring efficient theatre turnaround, patient preparation, and discharges.
Candidates should possess solid general nursing experience and excellent customer service skills. A cheerful, down-to-earth, and enthusiastic attitude with a genuine interest in animal welfare is essential. This full-time role involves working 42 hours per week, including some weekend shifts on a rota basis.
