Veterinary Surgeon - West Midlands

Are you a dedicated vet looking for a role where your professional growth is supported, and your personal well-being is prioritised? My client offers a unique blend of professional development, a supportive team, and a welcoming environment where even your furry friends are welcome.

The team is the heart of the practice. Enjoy a competitive salary of up to £65,000, based on experience, and benefit from a generous CPD allowance, including funding towards certificates. Your professional memberships (RCVS, VDS, and BVA) are covered, and you'll receive enhanced annual leave from day one, totalling 6.6 weeks. Celebrate your birthday with a paid day off and enjoy an enhanced pension contribution from the employer. Additionally, benefit from contributory private healthcare and access to Colleague Assistance Programmes. Exclusive company discounts are also available.

Locally owned for over eight years the practice boasts a highly skilled nurse team led by a Head Nurse with over five years of experience, supported by a dedicated team of VCAs, receptionists, and a Practice Manager (RVN). The practice is well-equipped with dental x-ray, laparoscopy, endoscopy, Kyon TPLO equipment, harmonic scalpel, and K-laser, ensuring high-quality care for a varied caseload of small animals.

The clinic operates from 8am-7pm on weekdays and 9am-6pm on Saturdays, with a 1 in 4 Saturday rota for sole charge consulting. Vets have one set ops day per week, with the option for a consult-only role. Enjoy 15-minute consults with scheduled breaks every 4-5 consults, ensuring you leave on time with the last appointment at 6:45pm. The clinic closes at 7pm, with 30 minutes of protected time for calls and notes. A 1-hour lunch break and additional time for calls post-lunch ensure a balanced workday.

My client are looking for a vet with solid GP small animal practice experience, a positive attitude, a good sense of humour, and a growth mindset. Join a team that values your development and well-being, providing a supportive and enriching environment for both you and your pets.
