A short drive will take you to the charming towns of Kendal or Lancaster, providing the perfect balance of work and leisure.

State-of-the-Art Facilities:

The practice is equipped with a full Idexx laboratory, ECG, capnography, sterile theatre, dental equipment, digital radiography, and ultrasound. And for those who appreciate the little things, there's an abundance of tea, biscuits, and cake to enjoy.

Flexible and Supportive Work Environment:

This role is ideal for both experienced vets and new graduates. The practice is committed to supporting its team members, offering 15-minute standard consultations and 30-minute slots for more challenging cases. Full or part-time positions are available, with no out-of-hours work required and only occasional Saturday mornings.

Key Responsibilities:

- Operate the practice management system, handle general surgery, and manage administration tasks.
- Conduct thorough consultations, develop differential diagnosis lists, and present treatment options with empathy.
- Perform routine surgical procedures, handle emergency presentations, and conduct diagnostic tests.
- Maintain up-to-date clinical records and ensure the proper use of POM drugs.
- Engage effectively with clients and colleagues, fostering a collaborative environment.

Required Skills & Experience:

- Current registration with the RCVS.
- Previous experience in a first opinion small animal veterinary practice.
- Excellent communication skills, honesty, and integrity.
- Friendly, caring, and capable.

Working Hours and Salary:

The role requires weekday work between 9 am to 6 pm, with occasional Saturday mornings. The salary is dependent on experience, ranging from £45k for a 2-year graduate to £75k for an experienced clinical director.
