Are you a dedicated veterinarian looking to elevate your career in a supportive and state-of-the-art environment? Look no further. Join a tier 3 hospital renowned for its commitment to excellence in patient and client care, located conveniently near Liverpool and Manchester, with easy access to the stunning Welsh countryside and the Lake District.
This hospital is not just a workplace; it's a training practice equipped with cutting-edge technology, including digital X-ray, ultrasound, various scopes, dental radiography, CO2 laser, laparoscopic equipment, a 64-slice CT scanner, and a 1.5T MRI scanner. Here, you’ll be part of a dynamic team of vets, many of whom hold certificates in medicine, surgery, and diagnostic imaging, with others actively pursuing further qualifications. Your professional growth will be actively encouraged and supported.
The role is diverse and engaging, with 50% of your time dedicated to sole charge branch work. If you prefer, a role focused solely on branch work with the hospital as a backup can be arranged. You’ll enjoy a balanced work schedule with a 4-day week and a fair share of weekend duties—either 1:8 Saturdays and Sundays or two Saturdays and one Sunday every 8 weeks. While some contribution to the OOH rota is required for holiday and sickness cover, the work-life balance is carefully maintained.
The benefits package is exceptional, offering a competitive salary ranging from £38,000 to £60,000 depending on experience. Enjoy 6.6 weeks of paid holiday, including bank holidays, and a generous £1750 CPD allowance with an additional week for CPD attendance. Health and wellbeing are prioritised with Health Shield contributions, RCVS membership, VDS cover, and enhanced family leave policies. Additional perks include discounted veterinary fees, shopping and entertainment discounts, a Cycle to Work scheme, company sick pay, and regular colleague engagement surveys.
This is more than just a job; it’s a chance to thrive in a supportive, progressive environment where your career can flourish. If you’re client and patient-focused, skilled in consulting and performing small surgical procedures, and ready to work alongside a brilliant team, this role is perfect for you. Apply now to become part of a practice that values your growth and well-being.
