Veterinary Surgeon - Hospital Based/No out of hours!

If you are an experienced veterinary surgeon who is excited by a varied and busy caseload, keen to work in a hospital environment and eager to continue developing your skills with the support and guidance of an experienced and forward-thinking team, look no further. 

Our clients are an Independent, Tier 3, RCVS accredited veterinary training hospital based in Wiltshire, and are currently looking for an experienced vet to join their team.  The main hospital provides first opinion, critical and emergency care to their patients and provides internal referral services to their 5 branch surgeries.  

This role itself is full time, permanent (although part time applicants are always welcome and will be considered), based in the main hospital, with some branch cover when necessary.  Both options offer an exciting caseload, so applicants should be confident in all basic surgical and medical procedures and working sole charge.  Applicants will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal and be an excellent team player.

You will be joining a friendly and supportive team of 22 experienced vets (across all 6 sites), with a vast array of interests and further certificates in areas including but not limited to imaging, surgery, medicine and ophthalmology.  The practice itself is state of the art with CT, endoscopy, laparoscopy and arthroscopy equipment, large consulting and waiting areas, separate wards and extensive in-house lab.  They currently host a local out of hours team in the premises over night, meaning no out of hours requirements within this role and the ability to provide patients with access to emergency care within their own practice 24/7.

The hospital is based in Wiltshire on the southwest of England and offers ample onsite parking and a direct link to the M4.  Less than an hour from Bristol city centre and just under 2 hours from London you have easy access to the hustle and bustle of the city whenever you fancy and for those times when you want a calmer more relaxing or more active experience you are surrounded by country parks and excellent shops and eateries.
