The role offers a strong small animal caseload and as the Head vet holds an exotics certificate and is eager to share their enthusiasm for this subject the role could offer you a good exotics caseload if this is an area of interest and would allow you the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skills if this is something you are passionate about.
The role itself is 4/4.5 days a week depending on your preference, with 1 in 3 Saturdays on rota and 1 in 12 Saturdays working at the main hospital nearby. You will have protected admin, lunch and finish times meaning you will always have these factored into your day and any unavoidable over time worked will be paid back in time off to ensure a positive work/life balance.
The practice itself has a new custom-built dental suite, with digital x-ray machine as well as digital x-ray, ultrasound and inhouse laboratory. They can also offer long or short-term accommodation if required. Situated just north of London and close to the M25 and M1 you will have excellent access to the rest of the UK by car and are just 30 minutes from Heathrow and 1 hr from London Stansted Airport for travel further afield. Locally you will benefit from stunning historic market towns, sites and green country parks, woodlands and golf courses to explore and enjoy in your time off.
