Veterinary Surgeon - Small Independent Oxfordshire

We are looking for a promising Veterinary Surgeon to join our client’s small independent practice, in rural Oxfordshire.  Located just 10 miles west of Oxford, 1.5 hrs drive from London city centre and just 1 hr from London Heathrow airport. 

Our clients offer a relaxed and supportive environment for their team and provide a friendly personal service to their loyal clients.  They are currently looking for an all-round first-opinion vet who is excited by a role that includes a generous mix of both consulting and operating time.  

The practice has excellent facilities with an in-house lab, digital and dental x-rays, ultrasound, endoscope, fully equipped theatre and microscope to mention just a few of the pieces of equipment you will have on hand every day.

The role itself is full time, permanent, working 10 hour days - 08:30 -18:30 and Saturdays 09:00-12:00 on a rota system.  You will have 20 minutes per consultation and plenty of time within your day to write up notes, work up cases and report results fully.  

Candidates will ideally be comfortable working sole charge, although you will always have the support and mentoring of an experienced staff member when required. You will ideally be passionate about patient care, continuing to develop your skills and work well as part of a team.  This position would be ideal for someone who is keen for a less hectic working environment with plenty of support and professional freedom to follow and work up their own cases.
