 The Ideal Candidate

The clinic seeks a seasoned veterinary surgeon with substantial experience in first-opinion practice. A versatile professional who enjoys mentoring junior colleagues and is enthusiastic about driving clinical standards forward will thrive here. A passion for surgery is highly desirable, and the clinic supports further training, including certifications.

 Role Details

- Salary: Up to £70,000, depending on experience
- Hours: Preferably full-time (8.30am – 6.30pm, Monday to Friday), but flexible working patterns, including part-time, will be considered
- Workload: 40 hours per week, with no weekend or out-of-hours work
- Breaks: Daily lunch breaks are guaranteed, ensuring everyone has time to relax and recharge

Established in 1903, this practice is an RCVS-accredited practice renowned for its compassionate care across Gloucestershire, Wiltshire, and Oxfordshire. Located in the charming market town of Lechlade, on the edge of the Cotswolds, the clinic offers a serene working environment focused on client care and team enjoyment.

The clinic boasts state-of-the-art equipment, including digital x-ray machines, ultrasound, multiparameter anaesthetic monitoring, and an in-house laboratory. This enables the team to provide top-tier services to their loyal client base.

 The Team

The dedicated team includes two full-time equivalent vets, a practice manager/RVN, three experienced RVNs, two SVNs, and valued administrative colleagues. The clinic fosters a nurturing environment where team members can pursue their clinical interests and grow professionally. The team enjoys social activities such as local pub quizzes and countryside dog walks, creating a family-like atmosphere.

 The Area

Based on the doorstep to the Cotswolds, this location offers a wealth of independent shops, cafes, pubs, and stunning countryside walks. The nearby Cotswold Water Park provides ample opportunities for water sports. Excellent transport links to Oxford, Swindon, Cirencester, Bath, Bristol, and London ensure plenty to explore in your downtime.
