Are you a passionate veterinary surgeon seeking a rewarding role within a supportive and independent practice?

In Northumberland, an independent practice is excited to welcome a dedicated vet to their close-knit team. This is an exceptional chance to join a practice that values clinical freedom, professional growth, and a collaborative environment.

At this practice, the focus is on delivering outstanding first-opinion care to pets in the Northumberland area, just 30 minutes from Newcastle and on the coast, this is a beautiful place to live and work with good transport links. The practice boasts a loyal client base, ensuring excellent case continuity and the opportunity to build lasting relationships with patients and their owners. The team is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including in-house IDEXX lab machines, advanced ultrasound, digital x-ray, and dental x-ray, enabling high-quality diagnostics and treatment.

The practice operates with a well-rounded team of three vets, six registered veterinary nurses, one soon-to-qualify student RVN, three animal care assistants, and two receptionists. This supportive and skilled team is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of clinical service and patient care.

The practice offers a flexible working environment, with options for full-time, part-time, job sharing, and flexible hours to suit individual needs. The practice is open Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm, Friday from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, and Saturday from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm, with bank holidays off.

The role comes with an attractive salary ranging from £55,000 to £65,000 per year, depending on experience, plus bonuses and bi-annual pay reviews. Additional benefits include five weeks of holiday, generous staff discounts, a private pension scheme with financial advisor meetings, RCVS fees paid, VDS cover, and funded CPD to encourage continuous professional development. Visa Sponsorship available.

The practice is committed to providing complete clinical freedom, allowing vets to work up cases and treat patients using their preferred methods and medications. The practice prides itself on its amazing, supportive team and the positive, collaborative work environment they foster. They would ideally seek someone with at least one year of clinical experience.

Join this independent practice and be part of a team that truly values its members and the exceptional care they provide.
