Are you a positive vet with a growth mindset, seeking a fresh challenge? Our client is on the lookout for a Senior Vet who embodies these qualities. If this sounds like you, it would be fantastic to connect!

The practice has been a cornerstone of the local community for over 8 years,  you'll be joining a dedicated and skilled team of vets and nurses. The practice handles a diverse caseload and prides itself on delivering high-quality care and service, equipped with advanced tools such as dental x-ray, laparoscopy, endoscopy, orthopaedic equipment, harmonic scalpel and K-laser, allowing most cases to be dealt with in house. The practice encourages and funds the pursuit of professional interests and certifications.

The clinic operates from 8am-7pm on weekdays and 9am-1pm on Saturdays, with bank holidays worked on a rota basis. The Saturday rota involves 1 in 3 sole charge, consulting only. Each vet enjoys a well-managed diary, with at least one dedicated operation day per week. Standard consultations are 15 minutes, with 30-minute slots for specific appointments. There are on-the-day and emergency appointments available, with catch-up slots scheduled every 60-90 minutes and time allocated for phone calls.

Work-life balance is a priority. The practice offers a somewhat flexible rota, with a set weekday off each week and an early Friday finish 1 in 3. Leaving on time is emphasised, ensuring your day concludes with time to complete notes.

The ideal candidate will have a keen interest in small animal veterinary medicine and confidence in routine surgery. A positive attitude, good sense of humour, and growth mindset are essential, along with the ability to lead a clinical team as you will help with this and support new graduate vets, with support of the management team.

The role offers a competitive salary of up to £65,000 FTE, based on experience. Additional benefits include flexible hours, a generous CPD allowance (including certificates), paid memberships, enhanced annual leave from day one (6.6 weeks), a paid day off for your birthday, enhanced pension contributions, and contributory private healthcare.

If this sounds like the opportunity you've been waiting for, to step into a more senior position with great support around you, apply today.
