Are you a dedicated Registered Veterinary Nurse looking to advance your career in a supportive and dynamic environment?

Located in the picturesque Medway Towns of Kent, an established veterinary group is seeking an experienced RVN to join their established nursing team. With a salary of up to £30,000, dependent on experience, and the flexibility of both full-time and part-time positions, this role is perfect for those who are passionate about animal care and professional growth.

At this veterinary group, you will thrive in a well-equipped clinical setting, gaining exposure to a diverse caseload and engaging in a wide array of nursing duties. The role involves working across four branches, with some sole nursing responsibilities during weekends and occasional weekdays, depending on the rota. This is an excellent chance to fully utilise your skills, from anaesthesia and imaging to inpatient care and surgical procedures, including orthopaedics and soft tissue surgery. You will also have the opportunity to carry out nurse consultations and undertake Schedule 3 procedures, with support from visiting specialists in orthopaedics and cardiology.

Established for over 40 years, this veterinary group boasts a stable and experienced team, with strong staff retention and a collaborative working environment. The group employs over 45 staff members, including a large team of RVNs, student nurses, and patient care assistants. The practice is committed to maintaining high clinical standards and fostering a supportive atmosphere for all colleagues.

The work pattern includes weekday shifts between 8:00 am and 6:45 pm, with 1 in 4 Saturdays from 8:45 am to 4:45 pm. There are currently no Sunday or bank holiday shifts, and no out-of-hours requirements, as these are covered by Vets Now. Flexibility is offered where possible to support a positive work-life balance.

The veterinary group promotes a positive and inclusive culture, with monthly informal team gatherings, social activities, and wellbeing initiatives to support team morale. The practice is also dedicated to professional development, offering funded CPD, access to an extensive internal CPD programme, and support for developing clinical interests, including ECC. There are potential progression opportunities into senior nursing, Lead RVN, or management roles within the group.

Additional benefits include 5 weeks of holiday plus bank holidays and birthday leave, RCVS and VDS fees paid, a staff discount scheme, enhanced sickness pay and family leave, a pension scheme, life assurance, and employee wellbeing support, including an EAP and cycle-to-work scheme. Temporary accommodation may be available to support relocation on a short-term basis.

Since 1982, this veterinary group has been treating pets like family, ensuring the highest standard of care. Join this vibrant, close-knit team and contribute to the well-being of pets in North Kent. Apply now to become a valued member of this veterinary group.
