Senior Clinical Director – Northamptonshire, near Northampton
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic clinical leader to take on the role of Senior Clinical Director within a well-established veterinary group in Northamptonshire. This rare position offers the chance to shape clinical strategy across multiple sites, lead a highly skilled team, and play a pivotal role in delivering outstanding veterinary care.

With five thriving branches and a state-of-the-art 24-hour Small Animal Veterinary Hospital, they are proud to combine tradition with innovation. Facilities include a brand-new hospital, CT scanner, dedicated out-of-hours service, and excellent team facilities, all within a forward-thinking, people- and patient-focused culture.
The Role
The Senior Clinical Director will hold overarching responsibility for clinical provision across the group, working closely with an experienced business leader and managing a team of senior vets and branch heads. The role will involve:
Setting and delivering clinical strategy and standards
Leading clinical governance and driving excellence across sites
Managing and supporting departmental leads to deliver service development and expansion
Taking responsibility for the hospital’s clinical provision, alongside managing a personal caseload
Working collaboratively with leadership to shape business strategy and explore growth opportunities
Although overseeing the out-of-hours service, no night work is required.

The Person
The group is seeking a confident, compassionate, and highly skilled clinician with proven leadership experience. The ideal candidate will be:

A strong communicator, able to build trust with both clients and colleagues

Working Pattern
The role is envisaged as full-time, but flexible working patterns will be considered. Participation in a weekend rota is expected.

In return for expertise and leadership, a generous package of £70,000–£100,000 is on offer, depending on qualifications and experience, along with relocation support if required.
