Are you a passionate and experienced veterinary professional seeking a dynamic role in a picturesque location? Look no further.

A leading mixed practice in Scotland is inviting applications for a mixed farm/equine position, offering a balanced 50:50 split with seasonal variations.

This large animal team, part of a well-established multi-branch mixed practice, is seeking a new member.

Imagine working in a large, modern, purpose-built facility surrounded by the stunning landscapes of central Scotland, with hills and beautiful beaches just a stone's throw away. This role promises generous holidays (6.4 weeks plus your birthday off), and an excellent work/life balance, all of which are fundamental to the practice's success.

The practice boasts three sites, with separate small and large animal teams, and covers an extensive area from Perth in the west to South Fife and along the northeast coast. The team includes RCVS Advanced Practitioners and certificate holders in orthopaedics, surgery, cardiology, diagnostic imaging, medicine, feline medicine, and dermatology. Additionally, the practice takes referrals in ophthalmology and behaviour/pain management, ensuring you have access to a wealth of expertise and mentorship.

As a member of this six-strong team, you will benefit from a well-structured rota that ensures a healthy work-life balance. Enjoy a half-day every week, Monday off following a weekend on call, and 32 days of holiday plus your birthday off. Additionally, the practice offers 5 days of CPD with a generous allowance and actively supports further study, both financially and professionally.

The practice is equipped with all the modern tools you would expect, including dental dremels, head stands, respiratory scopes, mobile digital x-rays, two portable digital scanners, and a high-quality ultrasound scanner for equine work. Facilities include in-house equine stables and stocks at two locations, designated large animal nurses, and an in-house lab. With numerous visiting experts, the need for referrals is minimal, allowing you to handle a diverse caseload.

They are seeking an experienced vet to join this team and you will find a welcoming and supportive environment here. The practice serves a delightful mix of clients, from pleasure and competition horses to large farms and small holdings, including camelids. The team ethos is strong, with regular team meetings, scheduled lunch breaks, and a commitment to getting home on time.

You can expect to receive a competitive salary up to £65,000 plus:

- Generous £1750 CPD allowance

- RCVS Membership paid and two other membership subscriptions

- VDS cover

- 6.6 weeks paid holiday (including Bank Holidays)

- Health Plan - wide ranging contributions for health and wellbeing treatments, from dentistry to sports massage

- Employee Perks – offers, discounts and cashback on shopping, travel, entertainment and much more

- Enhanced paternity, maternity, adoption, shared parental leave, and surrogacy pay

- Discounted veterinary fees

- Cycle to Work scheme

- Company sick pay

- Annual pay reviews

- Focus on employee wellbeing

If you are ready to join a practice that values your well-being and professional growth, and where you can truly make a difference, this could be the perfect role for you. Embrace the chance to work hard, laugh lots, and be part of a fantastic team in a beautiful part of the country.
