Lead Veterinary Surgeon - Derbyshire

My client based in picturesque Derbyshire are seeking a dedicated and experienced Lead Veterinary Surgeon to join their collaborative and forward-thinking practice. Partner with the Clinical Director to support and guide the clinical team, making meaningful decisions that elevate standards of care. The practice is equipped with the latest tools, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, an in-house laboratory suite, and recently upgraded ultrasound and endoscopy equipment. You will work alongside a dedicated, friendly team of 11 vets, 10 RVNs, 1 SVN, 1 PCA, and 9 Client Care Associates across two branches, all of whom value collaboration and mentorship.

My client are seeking a confident individual who can provide clinical leadership and support to the veterinary team, promoting high standards of care and client services. You will drive clinical governance, ensure compliance with practice protocols, and collaborate with the Clinical Director on rota planning, team wellbeing, and operational movements.

Your role will involve supporting others, building team culture, and leading with empathy and clarity. Strong clinical decision-making abilities are essential, as is the ability to interpret diagnostics and make informed decisions. A team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and remains calm under pressure will excel in this position.

- Competitive salary of £67,500 per annum (depending on experience)
