Night Veterinary Surgeon - Sponsorship Available

A thriving small animal surgery in East London/Essex border is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon to join their Out of Hours team. This part-time role offers a unique working pattern of 7 nights on and 14 nights off, with shifts running from 8pm to 8:15am during weekdays and 6pm to 9am on weekends. 

The location is ideal, providing free on-site parking and excellent transport links. Central London is just 25 minutes away, while the Essex countryside can be reached within 20 minutes. Additionally, the surgery is conveniently located for Stansted, City, and Southend Airports.

The successful candidate will join an established clinical team comprising 14 vets and 18 veterinary nurses, each with a diverse range of interests from medicine to soft tissue and orthopaedic surgery. The practice supports continuous professional development, offering a generous CPD allowance to help you study at certificate level.

The surgery itself is a spacious, purpose-built facility equipped with state-of-the-art technology. It boasts two dedicated operating theatres, an ultrasound machine, an in-house laboratory, and digital radiographs. The practice also features a full endoscopy unit and access to CT at one of its branches, continually investing in the best equipment to enhance the services offered to clients.

Given the varied caseload, applicants should have existing ECC experience, be confident in sole charge, and competent in most emergency surgical procedures. Strong diagnostic and medicinal skills are essential. Excellent people skills, flexibility in approach, and a passion for both the practice and the team are also crucial. The ideal candidate will excel in client consultations, providing outstanding customer service and dedication.
