Registered Veterinary Nurse - Dermatology

You will be part of a bustling, RCVS-accredited first opinion and referral practice. The main hospital boasts a team of 20 vets and 50 nurses, supported by nine branches in the surrounding area. The diverse team includes ACA’s, SVN’s, RVN’s, and Diploma-holding RVN’s, creating a rich environment for professional growth and collaboration.

In this role, you will work closely with the Dermatology Veterinary Surgeon, managing a varied and busy caseload. Your responsibilities will include organising the dermatology department, ordering stock, maintaining equipment, and providing inpatient care for dermatology day patients. You will also handle general anaesthesia, perform specific laboratory tests, and train other members of the nursing team in dermatology.

The position requires a proactive and organised RVN with a keen interest in dermatology. The role involves 41.6 hours per week, including a weekend rota of one in five weekends and at least one bank holiday per year, which is compensated with double time and a day off in lieu. There are no out-of-hours requirements, but extra shifts are available if desired.
