Join the dynamic team at this leading European supplier of animal breeding and husbandry products. Their extensive portfolio includes electric fencing, shelters, feeders, toys, grooming supplies, and equestrian essentials. With the recent acquisition of two large brands, they are poised for exciting growth, and are looking for a talented Equine Sales Manager to help them achieve their ambitious goals.

As an Equine Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of driving profitable growth within your sales territory (South of England). Your primary focus will be on establishing and nurturing strong, lasting relationships with independent equine stores and key retail accounts. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on both maintaining existing relationships and actively seeking new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

Sales and Strategy:
- Business Growth: You will inherit an existing client base and develop a strategic plan to maintain and expand this business, aiming to meet and exceed annual sales targets.
- New Business Development: Proactively seek and secure new accounts, introducing them to my clients prestigious brands.

Account Management:
- Relationship Building: Serve as the primary point of contact for a diverse range of clients, fostering strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers and influencers. Regular communication will be essential to secure orders, introduce new products, and identify additional sales opportunities.
- Commercial Awareness: Develop a deep understanding of each account's financial performance, including turnover, growth potential, and associated risks.

Reporting and Administration:
- Data Analysis: Analyse daily sales data to forecast future sales and report on key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Administrative Tasks: Manage all account-related administration to ensure information is accurate and up-to-date.

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in sales, preferably within the equine industry, with a proven track record of meeting ambitious sales targets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with clients at all levels. Strong selling, negotiating, and presentation skills are essential.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to work independently and proactively to identify and secure new business opportunities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to manage your territory and customer accounts effectively.
- IT proficiency to handle administrative tasks, reporting, and data analysis.
- The ability to work autonomously while also collaborating effectively as part of a larger team.
