A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a confident, first-opinion, all-round GP Veterinary Surgeon to join a close-knit and forward-thinking team in South Wales. The practice is particularly keen to hear from candidates with a surgical bias or an interest in developing advanced surgical skills.

About the Practice

  • Four RCVS-accredited branches, all recently refurbished

  • Well-equipped sites with in-house blood machines, ultrasound, and digital X-ray

  • The main hub benefits from newly installed DR X-ray, dental X-ray, ultrasound, laser therapy, and blood gas machines

  • 24-hour on-site nurse-led inpatient care (Monday–Friday)

  • Strong team of 12 vets, including certificate holders in Medicine and Radiology, plus visiting Specialists

  • Surgical mentorship available from a CertAVP holder to support further surgical development

The Role

  • Salary up to £65,000 per annum (pro rata), dependent on experience and surgical interest

  • Full-time (4-day week) or part-time considered – flexible working options available

  • Saturday rota: 1 in 5

  • Inpatient-only on-call support: 1 in 6 (Monday–Friday only, no nights or weekends)

  • Dedicated night RVN on-site for routine inpatient care

  • 8:45am start, last appointment 6:15pm

  • 15-minute appointment blocks
