Are you a compassionate and skilled Veterinary Surgeon looking to make a real difference in the lives of pets and their families?
An exciting role awaits in a brand-new clinic in Merseyside. This position is perfect for a dedicated vet who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and is passionate about providing affordable healthcare to pets.
The new clinic is designed with both patient comfort and advanced medical care in mind. It features two fully equipped theatres, a dedicated dental suite with dental X-ray, and a diagnostic room offering both ultrasound and digital X-ray services. With six consulting rooms, separate dog and cat wards, and a spacious waiting room with a quiet area for cats, the clinic ensures a calm and stress-free environment for all pets.
As a Veterinary Surgeon, you will deliver comprehensive veterinary care, diagnosing, treating, and managing a variety of medical conditions using state-of-the-art technology. You will engage with pet owners, providing empathetic and informative communication to help them understand their pets' health and treatments. Collaboration is key, and you will work alongside experienced veterinarians and support staff, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional development. Your role will also involve actively contributing to the community-focused ethos of the clinic, ensuring all pets receive the care they need regardless of their owners' financial situation.
To excel in this role, you must be a Qualified Veterinary Surgeon registered with the RCVS, with a strong background in emergency and critical care and excellent diagnostic skills. You should have the proven ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively and possess outstanding communication skills to make complex medical information accessible to pet owners. A commitment to the ethos of a Community Interest Company, balancing patient care with sustainable business practices, is essential.
The benefits package is comprehensive, including an annual leave entitlement of 6 weeks per year (including Bank Holidays), 52 weeks of sickness benefit, private healthcare, and a free employee assistance program accessible from day one. Additional benefits include fully funded RCVS and VDS fees, a contributory pension scheme, access to counselling support after 12 months, funded opportunities for professional development, enhanced paternity and maternity pay, staff discounts, store discounts, and access to an E-Car Scheme.
The clinic supports a healthy work-life balance with a 38-hour week spread over four days and working 2:9 Saturdays. Part-time rotas are open for discussion, and there are ample opportunities for professional growth within a supportive team environment. Engage in varied and challenging work that is both rewarding and impactful, and be part of a collaborative workplace culture where your opinions are valued, and you can make a real impact.
