About Debbie

My story began in of entry industry 26 years ago! I joined a privately-owned practice in London and started my RVN training and after a few years, I had the opportunity to help set up an independent practice from scratch which was a huge success (and lots of hard work!) and this in turn led us to opening two more sites. I adored my 15 years working as a nursing practice, it was a fantastic job which gave me an abundance of skills. I love the challenges and how every day the teamwork resulted in providing the very best level of care to our clients and patients alike.

But I still wanted more challenges so I decided to look outside the veterinary industry moving into recruitment in the construction industry in the City of London. This was a huge learning curve for me and for the first time I was working with corporate clients and large accounts. But it soon became apparent that I missed the veterinary industry that I had left behind, so returned to help set up the in-house recruitment function at IVC Evidensia in 2015.

What a journey the last eight years have been! Joining a startup business that grew to be the biggest group in the UK was an amazing opportunity and I relished in it, but whilst working with external suppliers of staff for IVC, I started to rapidly realise that some of these agencies were solely focused on making money and not the right placements for their clients. So I wanted to do things differently. My passion has always been about delivering the best customer service I possibly could when I worked in clinic, and then as a recruiter, ensuring that everyone feels supported and looked after throughout their journey. This is what motivates me daily. I love to hear people's stories and then assist them in the next step of their career and support clients to help solve their recruitment issues. so here we are!

I live in Wales with my partner and rescue dog and volunteer for the Blue Cross horse welfare team in my spare time.
